As on the previous page, these prints below were inspired by Gustav Stickley's wonderful Craftsman Magazine covers from the early 1900s.
They were usually nature studies, printed in two colors with black and always on brown craft paper.

"March, 2011"

One day, in March when it seemed as if the snow would never end I looked out of my window and saw
this Robin sitting there in my crab apple tree  in the snow.
The old frozen, dried fruits were probably the only food that he could find.
To me the scene has a such a Japonisme look. I was inspired.

I decided to use him as the subject for another "Stickley" print.

Printed on recycled, acid free, textured brown paper.
4 1/2" x 4 1/2" edition of 50 - $45

In February the wonderful white Amaryllis that I had received as a Christmas gift was in full bloom.
It became the subject for my February print. June has always made me think about roses.
July is another new print of the Trumpet Vine on my back fence. The paper is the same size as the others, I just cropped it too much.

All of the prints in this Stickley series are on the same paper - they look different because I'm not the best scanner They are all the same size too.
I am working right now on October, 1913.
Soon, I will make May, November and December.  Back
