More than 14 years ago I became involved with the RALA group. I applied to be able to put the mark on my prints and was accepted.
This has helped push me to keep working to improve and to be productive. I am proud to be a Roycroft Renaissance Artisan..

The Roycroft Chapel

This stone building on the corner of Main and Grove Streets in East Aurora, NY is where the Roycroft Renaissance Artisans are juried. Each year prospective artisans and those due to be juried send digital images and actual work for the Masters Jury to review.
After seeing and discussing the examples a vote is taken with a wooden box of marbles that is passed around. A white marble is for and a black one is against the artisan. The box is constructed so that the vote is secret.

Because of the number of new applicants we will be having our 2009jury at the Aurora Senior Center.
